A property viewing is your chance to go beyond the photographs and get a real feel for the home. Going in prepared means you'll ask the right questions and notice things that photos don't show.
Questions to ask
How long has it been on the market? Why are the sellers moving? What's included in the sale? Has there been any structural work? These questions can reveal issues or opportunities that aren't obvious from a walk-around.
Use your senses
Look beyond the staging. Check for damp patches, sticking doors, signs of recent repainting that might be covering something. A quick look in the loft and at the boiler can tell you a lot. A survey will do the thorough work, but your eyes are your first filter.
